Olivia & the Pantry

Olivia has found herself a new hiding spot. she loves to go in the pantry and find the package of gum and then sit there & chew on it. Now everytime we go in the kitchen she tries to open the door to go in.When she noticed that I had found her she gave me this look. I had to grab my phone to get these before she would move.

Ogden Marathon

Well I didn't run the marathon but I did participate in my very first 5K. I had a blast running it! I loved everything about it, the atmosphere was great, to be around so many people that worked so hard for this day and accomplished their goals was amazing. To see thousands of people running, volunteering and supporting was truly a great thing to experience. I had the wonderful support of my husband with bad knee and all came out bright and early with Olivia to cheer me and the rest of them on. Well 25 minutes later I was crossing the finish line and it felt great to have accomplished something I had worked for. I ran with each one of these girls the past few weeks to get ready for the race and we all had so much fun. It was a first for all of us so it was fun to experience it together. My sis AmandaMy HubbyMy sis Rachel finishing the half marathon
{the 12th girl to finish} Later on in the afternoon Olivia and I along with some of my family ran in the kidsK. We all had so much fun especially the kids! Before the race with my baby girl
My sis Emily and her two girls, Maddy was a tinny bit to old to run in the kidsK. Emily and Izzy ran it like champs!
I had a great day with everyone and I look up to those that can have the dedication and determination to run in marathons. I wanted to run for a lot of reasons, some for myself and one for someone else. I can't say I know anything about how it would feel but I have an idea. To have the desire, dedication and want to run but not being able to because of health issues has got to be hard. I think of this person every time I run and wish with all my heart that they could run beside me or their own family effortlessly. I Love You!!

What Have WE Been Up To?

What have we been up to?
1.Well as usual Olivia is growing and getting more and more curious about everything
2. She is a little over nine months
{ 16.25 lbs. 9%} { 27.75 in. 54%} { 16.5 hd cir. 5%}
3. She now has two very sharp, sparkly white teeth
4. She stands on her own for a little while
5. She took her first three steps all by herself today!!!! I screamed with joy and she looked at me like I was some insane mom. Well I guess just a bit.
6.She loves to play with all little kids and she is a very tuff girl
7. I've been busy with working a few extra days, so nothing gets done. example-blogging
8. The wonderful world of Men's softball started two weeks ago and guess what they already have a victory! Of course The DREADED BAD NEWS!! Last Friday night T.J. was up to bat and somehow hurt his knee again! For those who don't know it all started about 1 1/2 years ago at a softball game where he tore his MCL and since then no pain no game. He pulled the last straw and tore his ACL & damaged something else that I cant begin to spell. Finally Off to the DR.'s he went and found out that surgery will be required if he ever wants to do something other than sitting and walking. I feel really bad for him and know that he has been in a lot of pain the last couple of days. Your a great sport hubby and I love you!9. I finally planted all of my pots with flowers, & finally put Olivia's room together the way I've wanted it to look like.
10. I've been really good with exercising, I'm running the 5K{okay so I know it's only 3.2 miles but I haven't run in years} in Ogden on Saturday & so I started running about a month or so ago and I really like doing it. I want to give a shout out to my bro-in-law Darin who is running the 26 mile marathon for the fourth yr. & to Mitch another bro-in-law for running the 26 mile marathon also for second yr. & last but not least my big sis Rachel who will be running the 13 mile race!
11. I decided to give my mom for mother's day something that she would be able to have and remember for a long time. So I spent quite a while making a 20x30 collage of all the grandchildren. There are 22 grand kids in my family and more than likely some to come in the future.

May I add and of course this is bias but my mom and all My siblings have some beautiful grandchildren & children. I just wanted to say a few things about mothers, I love my mom, she has been such an example to me through out my life and now that I'm a mom I can truly say how appreciative I am to her. Being a mother is a job , there are long hours, you get dirty, you don't get paid a hourly wage, and you never get to leave. Yes motherhood is hard but to have the opportunity to raise children and love them with all your heart is worth every long hour. Thanks to all the moms that I have had the opportunity to be around! your all great!
It was a long post so I'm sorry, I'll have to do a better job with the updates.

Little Vacation

Last week Olivia and I headed down to St. George to visit T.J.'s family. It was so nice to see them and spend some quality time together. It was nice to get away and get some warm weather. Olivia loves everyone and always smiles but she really likes to play with T.J.'s sister Kenzie. She would always smile and laugh at her or want to be held by her. Thanks Kenzie for playing with her and watching her for me! I was lazy the whole time and didn't get any pictures of anyone except Olivia. So sorry this post is kind of boring. I couldn't resist taking pictures of her in her little hat.
Of course she has drool coming out of her mouth as always but she actually has a reason for it now, her first TOOTH started poking through on Wednesday and if you look really, really, really close you can see it on the bottom. Okay maybe not but if you were to magnify it you could:)

We drove back up on Sunday and the ride could have been a little easier and quieter but Olivia decided that she wanted to be persistent and cry/scream almost the whole way home. Well you know how it usually goes when one baby cries and so then the other has to chip in, that's pretty much how it was. Olivia was mostly the instigator of it all but Trae and her had their moments. Thanks Holly for putting up with us. We had fun driving down and back with both of you! Aren't these two such cuties? I know I'm biased.
Thanks Kim and Danny we had so much fun in sunny St. George. We really appreciate all you do for us and WE LOVE YOU ALL A TON!!!!

EaSter!

We had a great Easter and hope that everyone else did to. Olivia and I went my parent's house for the Easter egg hunt and decorating Easter cookies on Saturday and then on Sunday we all went up to my parent's again for yummy dinner. Of course Olivia had no idea what was going on but she sure did like the plastic Easter eggs, she held onto one most of Saturday and all of Sunday morning. We took some pictures over the weekend but I'm sad because Olivia didn't feel like getting her picture taken by herself in her pretty Easter dress. I'm going to have to put her in it and take some on a nice sunny day. ( I can't get the pictures to move down and I'm not rewriting everything at top so I'm sorry it's all weird).

Olivia had fun taking all the stuff out of her Easter basket

She liked her new book

Playing with the egg she found at grandma's house

Swimming

We took Olivia swimming for her first time this past week and she loved it!! Thanks Amos family for inviting us to go with you we had a ton of fun!Us before we got in the poolDaddies girlShe would not hold still all she wanted to do was crawl around and climb on the tubes. She crawled so much that she had rubbed her skin on her ankle raw. We went with the Amos' and Trae wasn't sure if he liked it at first but he soon found out how fun it was to splash.

I'm sorry Holly I don't have a picture of him smiling with water all over him from splashing.

8 is Great!

Olivia turned 8 months a few days ago and so here are a few things she has been up to.
1. She no longer looks at the camera, she comes after it
2. She is crawling everywhere!
3. She does the cutest wave with her wrist and says "Hi" sometimes "Hi da"
4. She is still smiling away
5. She went down the slide for the first time and laughed all the way down
6. She climbed up to me while I was on the ground and stood up last week
7. She is standing up to everything even if it is only a few inches from the ground. For instance if there is a book she will put her hands on it and then get on her toes kind of looks like a yoga move. Make any sense?
8. She loves kids!! She will follow them around the entire time they play. So Brooklyn loves to go up and down the stairs and so Olivia followed her over to them and before I knew it Brittany was pointing to the stairs and Olivia was crawling right up them. She went up all seven stairs by herself , of course she doesn't understand that she could fall so I stood behind her just in case. These pictures of her standing are from my phone so the quality isn't that great.
All she wants to do is move move and move some more.
