Catch up...

Besides Halloween in October we had a few other things that went on.
1. Amelia turned 9 months old... CraZy!
She is getting so big and mobile.
She loves her little blanket and likes to carry it around with her.
She is standing all by herself.
She still isn't sleeping through the night.
She has two more teeth coming in
She is still the happiest little thing during the day
She doesn't have any type of anxiety to strangers
We took her to her 9 month check up on Halloween and here are her stats
Weight 18.4 ~ 39%
Height 28 ~ 66%
Head cir 17 ~ 26%
Amelia has a little bit of a mishapped head and so when we were at the Dr's I asked him what he thought and so he took a look at it and said it looked a little off and that he would refer me to a place that does the helmets . Besides her head being mishapped I noticed that her head is slightly tilted to the left. He told me that she has Torticollis and that I needed to take her to a physical therapist. I have never even heard of this before. I called the primary children's in Ogden and we went in. They did some exercises with her and then some tests. They measured her head and at this point being that she is older, there isn't anything to do to fix it. It pretty much is the way it's going to be. Thanks goodness she is a girl and it will probably not be noticeable. It wasn't that bad anyways that they were really concerned for her health mostly just cosmetic. As for her neck shedoesn't have as much strength in her left side of her neck as she does in her right, so she leans her head to the left. Her case of Torticollis is a mild case but the fact that she is 9 months means that it is going to be a lot harder to fix and we are going to have to do it in a shorter amount of time. I have to do three different stretches with her four times a day at two minutes a piece. It doesn't seem like a lot and it isn't but the poor thing doesn't like it at all and it is hard due to her size and mobility. When it is found in newborns it is easier to correct. So hopefully within 3-5 months she will be Toritcollis free.
A few other things that happen this month was my little sister came to Utah as a surprise to us. It was fun to see her and adorable Will. We didn't see them a ton but when we did it was really nice.
My dad was released from being a bishop this month and it was a really special time for our family. He was such a great bishop and I saw him grow in so many ways over the years. It was a bittersweet moment for him and my mom.
While I'm on the topic of being released from a calling I was released from Relief Society at the end of this month. I knew it was coming and yet it was a lot harder than I though it would be. I was pretty emotional about it that day and for a good week after. It is hard to be so involved and then suddenly not being. I miss the sisters that I served with and also the sisters that I was able to serve. My testimony grew in large amounts over the years while in my calling and I gained an understanding of humility and love. I'm thankful that my Heavenly Father gave me the opportunity to serve in the Relief Society.

Fall Fun...

We had a wonderful fall.. we went on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch and picked out our own pumpkins. We then painted them and Olivia had a blast at it! She wanted to painted all the pumpkins that we had. We then did caramel apples at our friends house one night. Olivia wanted to get as much candy on hers as possible and then only wanted to pick the candy off and eat it.
We had fun decorating cookies at the Lloyd's house a few days before Halloween and we probably at way to many. They were really good sugar cookies! Thanks Jaimee!
My grandpa Baker's birthday is on October 29Th and so we had a Halloween birthday bash for him. He turned 90 years old! He is such a funny and sweet grandpa and we're so lucky to have him in our lives.
Olivia dresses up as Little Red Ridding Hood and TJ was the bad wolf! They were so cute together. My little miss Amelia was a little chicken. We visited both set of grandparents on Halloween and had so yummy food. We went to a Trunk or Treat up by my brother's house and went around the neighborhood at my mom and dad's. We had a ton of fun and of course Olivia didn't want to take her costume off and then wanted to wear it everyday following Halloween. It was a great Halloween and it was fun to have Olivia understand it more this year.
