Has it Really??

Has it really been SIX weeks since I last blogged? I told myself I would do a lot better and I think that I'm actually doing worse! I have been the worst picture taker this summer and have failed to take my camera to important events. We have been able to go to some fun places with great people. Luckily my sister brought her camera along and gave me some pictures. In June we went up to Park City with TJ's parents and we had so much fun even though it was seriously so cold! The temp was like 40 degrees all day and rained.
We headed up to Bear Lake towards the end of June and thank goodness the weather was great! We had lots of fun at the pool, lake and the playground. Olivia is a water baby for sure. The problem with Olivia and water is, she has no fear what so ever. She'll jump right in and not take a second to think about it. We then headed down to good ole St. George to visit the Nuttalls. TJ and his friends went on a backpacking trip so I decided I would take a little Va Ca for Olivia and I. And last but not least we had a fun fourth of July weekend with family. Olivia and I went to the parade with some of my family while TJ was out doing what he loves best, Golfing!!! We had lots of good food and great company!
ST. George

My sister Audrey came down with her twin girls to St. George with us for the weekend. We had lots of fun and a ton of pool time. Olivia loved sun bathing in the pool and of course she is the queen when at Grandma Kim's house. The girls got a chocolate covered strawberry from grandma and they seriously shoved the entire thing into their mouths.

Shopping=DISASTER

Over the last month or two every time I go to the store with Olivia {which is all the time} she throws a fit! The second that we enter the store and she sees the shopping cart it's screams and kicks! I honestly fear going to the store of any sort and dread the dirty looks from everyone. I'm hoping that it's just a stage but my fear is that she is getting closer and becoming more like a TERRIBLE TWO YEAR OLD!!!!! What to do? Well the other day I went into Walmart real fast and was planning on buying her a camping chair. She loves to climb on and off of chairs and so I thought with summer coming up it would be great for her to have a small one just her size. I pulled it out to see what it looked like and she immediately wanted to sit in it and then of course when I put it back the TANTRUM started! I was probably out of my mind by letting her sit in the chair inside the cart, being that it wasn't the safest thing but it worked. She sat in it the whole time and didn't make a fuss. One grocery store trip done successfully and many more dread.

Kids K

Yes it has been forever since I last updated but I feel nothing is really worth writing about. I signed Olivia up for the kids K two weeks ago at the Ogden Marathon and she had fun getting pushed in the stroller, carried by me and a little bit of running. She wanted to run but was a little intimidated by all the people running by her. Here she is crossing the finish line!! My nephew had fun running in it also and was excited about it the whole week before. He ran the entire mile without stopping!

Aren't Abby and TJ just funny? They both thought it would be fun to stick the orange peel in their mouths for the picture. Quite a few of my family members ran races at the marathon and they all did so awesome! I'm so proud of them and what they accomplished. My sisters, brother and brother in law ran the relay race and took 7th place out of a 100 teams! I think that is awesome! Good job everyone!

First trip to the salon

I took Olivia to get her hair cut at the Salon by my sister Rachel. This was technically her first hair cut, we cut her mullet just a little bit a few months ago but nothing big. I decided that she needed to look like she had a little more hair. Rachel cut a little A-line style and I think it looks so cute! This is her right after she got it done and in the pictures below she is with Rachel and then during the hair cut. Of course I can't seem to get her hair to look this good by myself but I'm working on it.

Easter

We had a great Easter this year! On Saturday we went up to my parents house and had an Easter egg hunt and decorated cookies. Olivia had a lot of fun finding the eggs but about 10 minutes into it she found two sticks and started playing with them. I forgot my camera at my parent's house the day before Easter so I only got a few pictures on Easter morning with my niece's camera. She loved her pink ball and that's all she was interested in. She really didn't even care to find the eggs. I took a few pictures of her in her Easter outfit and it was no easy task. She will not look at me or hold still for two seconds! If she did look at me, she would give me the face on the third picture.
So I finally came around to making my blog into a book and it was fun but quite a bit of work. The great thing about having it as a book is that I'm not a scrap booker and will never be and so it serves as a type of journal and scrapbook. I realized that this is for others to look at but most importantly it's my families history. I want to remember all that we went through and all the memories that we created.
Oh what can I say, I LOVE THIS GIRL!!! I wish I could have those gorgeous EYES & EYELASHES! Besides being the most beautiful girl, she has such a sweet and sassy spirit that I love so very much!
{Side note, I learned while making my blog into a book that when you put words under the pictures it doesn't make a lot of sense when you go back & read it. So I'm trying not to do it}
The 7Th picture down cracks me up!! It was the first egg that she found and that face is priceless!

80's Aerobics Anyone?

Olivia is now into these wonderful headbands. She has to put them on herself and then she wears them while she plays and dances around. It totally reminds me of an 80's aerobic instructor! Not that I'm old enough to have really remembered the eighties .
Last week Olivia went in for her surgery. Here she is sitting in the metal crib that hey put little kids or infants in. A little creepy to me but fortunately they didn't cart her back into the room with it. We handed her over to the nurse and she took her back. She woke up fairly quick but was very upset with what was going on. I felt bad for her and wanted to comfort her but she quickly decided that dad was who she wanted and didn't want me to touch her.
I didn't get any more pictures of her being that she was very unhappy but I did snap this one real fast before we put her jammies back on. They did an environmental allergy test and a food test on her and here are all the marks. Thank goodness she was out while this went on. We found out that she is allergic to cats, a type of mold that can grow on your bread or on fruit and she is border line with milk.
The surgery went well and hopefully she wont be sick as often. The Dr. said that her adenoids were huge and that they had to use the highest level of suction to get all the fluid in her ears. She was a very sick and congested baby. I feel so much better that we finally found out what was going on with her. The only thing is her tonsils are still quite large and more than likely she will have to go back in about a year and have them removed. I'm very grateful for a beautiful, happy, loving girl.

Where Did My BAby Go?

I was watching Olivia play outside the other day and I couldn't believe that I no longer a baby. I have an almost toddler. She is getting so big and I love that her personality is coming out more and more each day. I feel like I have someone to talk to during the day now, well somewhat:) Here are a few pictures of her when she was younger .
Olivia loves to be outside and I know we are more than ecstatic for the warmer weather! I'm sick of being couped up inside all day every day. She is so funny with the faces she makes. When she moos like a cow she puckers up her lips. She also likes to play with any type of ball but I'm hoping that the basketball will win! Maybe that way she can have a bit of me in her somewhere. The other day we finally got her hair in PIGTAILS!!!!!! They don't stay in very well but it was so exciting to she her hair up and out of her face. At the same time I was sad bc she looks so old and big with her hair in pigtails:( She is growing way to fast!
In my last post which I know was over a month ago, I mentioned that Olivia had been sick a lot. We took her off all dairy and whey products for a month and yet she still got sick twice with a bad cold and cough. We went back to the DR. today and she still had quite a bit of fluid in her ears and her tonsils were red. The verdict? The poor little girl has to have plugs put in her ears , be tested for every possible food allergy and have her addnoids removed! It scares me so bad to have her put under but I know they are great at what they do and she'll be fine. She goes in to surgery in two weeks and hopefully she will start to finally feel better. If it doesn't work the tonsils might have to come out but for now she is way to small and young for that surgery. I'm grateful that there is something that can be done for her. I want her to feel happy and healthy which in turn would make me happy.
