4 th of JulY Weekend...

We had a fun and exciting weekend! I didn't take many pics but these will do. TJ's family was up from St. George and so we spent most of the weekend with them. We started with Lagoon on saturday and Olivia loved every second of it! She has no fear! She enjoyed all the rides but of course her favorite was the merry go round. She threw a fit when it was time to get off of the horse. We then went to the north ogden parade and cherry days on the fourth. The parade didn't entertain Olivia like I thought it would have but it was still fun to go to. She loved the fireworks that we did at my brother's house and at TJ's parents house. Amelia was a sweet doll the entire time. She didn't make a fuss the whole weekend. We tried to get a family picture and it wasn't happening so this is the best we could get. Also Olivia didn't want anything to do with getting her picture taken that day so this is what I got:) I'm grateful for the freedoms that I have and those that stand up for those rights and serve for us. Thank you!

Girls...

I have to post a few things the girls are doing lately so that I don't forget them. I can't believe how big they both are and how fast they have grown over the past few months.
Olivia is:
Almost 3Yrs Old!
Still not potty trained
spunky
happy
emotional
determined
strong willed
hilarious
busy
energetic
sweet
loving
a great big sister.
She melts my hear every day but can also put me over the top. She is determined not to go to the bathroom on the toilet. She could sit in her poop and pee all day and it wouldn't bug her a bit. I have tried many things to get her excited about going in the potty but nothing has worked. She knows when she has to go but just doesn't want to take the time to sit on the toilet. I feel that this has been the most frustrating part so far of being a mother. I can't make her do it even as bad as I want her to. I guess we will keep pushing on and trying.
Olivia has become quiet the girlie girl. She loves dresses and princess shoes and crowns and jewelry. She has to wear a dress every day and night. If she isn't in a dress it's because I made her wear something else or because the dress she wants is in the washer. I will put her to bed and a few minutes later I hear her opening her closet and the next thing you know she has a dress on.
Another phase she is going through is eating her hair. She doesn't really eat it but puts it in her mouth and sucks on it. Yes it is gross and I hope she gets over it soon.
She was also really into always having a band aid on if she had the slightest scratch or bruise. She has kinda gotten out of that one recently which is good because we were going through a lot of band aids.
Besides her obsession with wearing a dress every day she has a love for horses. She loves to play with her toy horses and watch horse movies. She looks for horses whenever we drive somewhere and she really wants to ride a horse. Lately she has gotten more of an imagination and she wants me to sing her a song about horses. Different colored horses, small horses, big horses etc. It is pretty darn cute.

Amelia is:
Smiley
loving
happy
a good sleeper
precious
wonderful
mild tempered
a good eater
a slobbery baby
Amelia is such a sweet baby that is always smiling. She rarely whines or cries and when she does it's because she is hungry or tired. She is getting so big! She has had a cough for a few weeks that won't go away and so we took her to the Dr and at the appointment they weighed her. She weighs 15.3 lbs! Oh she is chubby! I love it! She is becoming more aware of things and wants to grab everything. She loves her sister to death! Olivia can get her to laugh all the time. She loves the tub and hates being outside in the sun. Since she was a newborn she has always liked her face covered by a blanket and so I went and bought her a little minky couture mini blanket and she loves it. She has a hard time going to sleep without it. She isn't really rolling yet which is fine by me. I just started her on rice cereal last week and she is doing really well eating it. She has recently found her thumb. She started chewing on it and is slowly starting to suck on it. It's hard because it's so cute but I don't want to worry about it when she is older.
We love our girls and the sweet spirits that they are. We have been so blessed to have them put into our lives. Every day is a blessing with them, yes there are challenging moments but all of the are worth it.

" CraZy FoWL RunnErS" Ragnar 2011....

Well this past weekend I had my first Ragnar experience. It was really fun! Through out the two days there are so many emotions that you feel. At first you feel excited and energized then by the second run which is at night you feel tired, irritable, exhausted and a little onery, by the third run you are so tired that there isn't any thing you can do. You get the giggles at anything anyone says. But over all I had a really good experience. Most of the team was made up of my family along with some of my sister's friends and bro-in-law and Brittany. We all got along really well in our van and had a blast. Due to T.J.'s knee he wasn't able to run in the race but he decided to be our driver. (I'm being specific to details only because I want to be able to remember years down the road the experience and the people.) We were in van #2 and in our van was Brittany, Julia, Jonathan, Brian, Me & Nick. In order that we ran. For my first leg I ran up trappers loop and believe me it was hard. Being that I live out in Layton on flat ground this was a challenge. My second leg I ran in the middle of the night and it was by
kauzi Dam( no idea how to spell it) and it actually wasn't to bad. For my final run I ran almost 7 1/2 miles severe downhill with one very steep hill. It was by far the most I have been challenged in running. It sounds like downhill would be easier but it was really hard on my knees and feet. It was hard but after I finished running it felt so good to have accomplished something I thought I couldn't have done. All in all I would love to run Ragnar again as long as I have great people to run it with. Thanks everyone for all the fun memories!! The only one I would like to leave behind are the HOney Buckets! Sorry for the picture overload, I could have put way more up but I decided that would be a bit to much:)

FouR MonThs...

Yes it has already been four months since our sweet Amelia came to us. She has gotten so big in the last little bit and is starting to develop in many different ways. She is a very good baby as long as she is fed. She sleeps almost through the night going to bed at 8:30 & waking up at about 5:30 to eat and then sleeps till 9:00.
She lately is into pursing her lips and spitting, and she also does this when she is done with her bottle and doesn't want anymore.
She has such a beautiful and happy smile, she smiles with her eyes
She loves to eat her hands
Is ticklish everywhere and laughs hysterically when tickled
Loves to have her face buried in a blanket when sleeping
Giggles at Olivia no matter what she is doing
takes way better naps than Olivia ever did
She is such a sweet baby with a beautiful spirit. We love her to death!
At her visit to Dr. Eberhard she had two shots and the rotavirus drops
her stats are
Weight 13 lbs 11oz 52%
Height 24 in 40%
Head Cir 16 40%

LOST....

Yes that's right I LOST MY WEDDING RING!!!! The day after losing my child at the marathon I lost my Ring in the church parking lot the next day. I think I have lost my mind!
I was driving on my way to church and realized that my legs desperately needed some lotion. So I proceeded to take off my wedding ring and put it in my lap. Well being that I was in a hurry, I quickly got out of the car and went around to get Amelia out. About 40 minutes into sacrament I looked at my finger and realized that I had't put it back on. This was probably the second worst feeling that I have had, the first having Olivia missing. I hurry and got up and ran to the parking lot. I looked in my car hoping and praying that it had slipped off before I got out but it wasn't in there and then I looked all over the ground. NO WHERE! I thought well maybe in my crazy head I thought I had put it on but really it was still at home. So I drove home to look, still no ring. How could I have been so stupid to forget about it? Well it's been over a week since losing it and no one has turned it in. I know it could be anywhere really but we looked all over the parking lot after and for a few days after and couldn't find it. I appreciate all the help from those that looked for me. I would rather it be lost than have had someone pick it up and take it. You would think someone would turn in a wedding ring that they found while at church in a church parking lot. But I guess not. I feel so mad at myself and disappointed that I lost my wedding ring. I LOVED my ring. I will say this, TJ handled it pretty well. Of course he says I'm lucky if I get another one anytime soon:( So if anyone hear's of a wedding ring being found give me a call. My ring does look slightly different than the above picture. It now has two wedding bands with diamonds on each side of the ring. Oh just thinking about it makes me sick! I guess I'll have to stop talking about it.
