Half Way To A Year

Six Months already? Where has time gone? Well I now know how fast they really do grow. Six months sounded so far away when she was born and now here it is. She has changed so much in the last six months and I have loved watching her learn new things and to see her personality come out. This post has a lot of pictures but I love taking them of her and who couldn't resist those beautiful brown eyes. These are a few pictures I've taken over the last month.

I'll start my story out on Wednesday night at about 11:30, Olivia wakes up screaming like something is wrong. She wont stop crying and so I pick her up finally and hold her but she still continues to cry. 3:30 rolls around and she finally falls asleep and I'm exhausted(I'm truly someone that needs her sleep). 7:30 comes pretty fast and she wakes up crying which never happens and so I think of course she has to be sick. Thank goodness she had her six month checkup and so off we go the whole time I'm thinking she has to have a ear ache. The doctor checks her ears and can't see in one of them so he proceeds to clean it out and then all of a sudden she starts screaming and he tells me oh I'm sorry I just scratched her ear canal. So now she is already upset then they give her four shots and take her temperature where it doesn't feel good. She was so upset! Well the verdict was she had no ear ache, I couldn't believe it! Why then was she crying all night? His reply was she simply doesn't feel good and is getting sick. I was more than happy that she didn't have an ear ache but was hopping there was a reason for her being so upset.
So the day only got better from there
If she wasn't doing this

Then she was doing this
The second she woke up it was this again
She literally cried all day with the saddest cry ever.
Finally though at the end of the night we got one of these
Olivia can now sit up pretty well, she still needs a little help

She will only sleep with her head in the corner of her cribOlivia does her daily crunhces. She is so funny since she was probably three months she started pulling her head and legs up like thisOlivia is one of the only babies that I know that spits up all day. She either has spit up or drool on her face and clothes. That's why she either has a bib on or her shirt is drenched.

Olivia weighed in at 14.2 lbs. 15%

Measured at 26 in. 55%

Head circumference 15.75 3%

She is growing nicely, still a little thing especially compared to her handsome boyfriend Trae :)

A Night With The Jazz

Thanks to the Bunting family we were able to attend for the second year in a row the Jazz night for season ticket holders. They did things a little different this year than last, first they had some fun things with the audience and played a few games then they had the team signing and that's what everyone is there for. I was under the impression that we weren't able to bring cameras to this event and so I left it behind, well come to find out everyone had their cameras! So these very few pictures are from my phone and yes I know where are the pictures of the players you might ask? I didn't get to meet any of them this year, I got to hold my beautiful baby all night on my hip and then feed her and walk around and try to find my husband. It was still a very fun night and I'm glad we were invited again this year.Olivia loves the basketball

She even thinks it tastes pretty good
Us trying so hard to get a picture

So they did a dance off with two of the players, Costa and I can't remember the other guy. It was so funny! The highlight of the night, I wish I could have gotten it on video.
So one more thing, I want everyone to ask T.J. what his conversation with Mehet Okur consisted of and how it went. I know he is dying to tell you all. Ha ha, there for sure is never a dull moment with my husband, there might be some awkward ones though.
P.S. T.J. and Tyson were able to go down on the court and shoot a few shots and I have to tell eveyone that T.J. made the first shot, swoosh down went a three!

She Found Her Toes

I have some good news! For all those that know Olivia this won't sound quite as silly but I'm so happy that she finally can grab her toes while laying down! She is probably the most inflexible baby ever, she has never grabbed her toes before until today while laying down. She can't grab real well or put them even close to her mouth but she can at least get a grasp on them. Who knows maybe there is hope for her not to have T.J.'s flexibility or rather lack there of.

Five Months

Olivia turned five months old about a week ago and I can't believe it!She is talking and laughing like crazy and is still smiling at everyone. She started rolling from her tummy to her back at the beginning of December and since then hasn't stopped. She is a rolling machine, the funny thing is she rolls on to her tummy right when you lay her down but then she gets mad because she doesn't like being on her tummy. If you leave her in a room by herself you'll come back and find that she has scooted across to the other side. She is a total busy body, grabs at everything, eats whatever she has in her hands, and drools like crazy. She had her first bowl of rice cereal last week and she wasn't sure of it but she has now had it for a week and she eats all of it. Here are some snapshots of her the last month. She sat in her highchair for the first time a few weeks ago. The pictures of her eating cereal are a Little blurry,I took them at work with my phone.
She looks so funny, she looks really chubby and old
She likes her bib just as much as the cereal

GoodBye

Farewell. After six weeks in Utah the Powell's have traveled back home to Omaha. We wanted to let them know that it was so much fun to have them here. Lots of laughs, jokes and late nights. We aren't sure what we're going to do with ourselves without you guys. We are going to miss those beautiful little babies and how much they are going to grow over the next few months. Thanks for putting up with us the last month an a half. The next time we'll see you two is in March at the airport in California. Ya Mexico! We lOvE You GuYs!!!!
By the way I thought this picture was funny because of Brady's hat of hair and because Emmie is smiling.
