Engagement Party!

On Saturday night we went to Abby and Jon's engagement party, it was a Halloween theme and so we all dressed up in our costumes. We had a lot of fun and yummy food.

Abby was dressed up as an Indian and Emily and Darin were from the eighties. She was the cheerleader and he was her football boyfriend. The funny thing was they really went to high school in the eighties. If you can't tell Darin had on a long wig and boy was it hilarious!

Pre Halloween fun

We had a pumpkin carving party at our house this past friday with our friends. We had lots of fun with each other carving pumpkins and watching a movie. This is the end result of our pumpkins, everyone made a joke about T.J.'s pumpkin but I think it was a good idea and it turned out great!

Here we are carving our pumpkins, Olivia was so tired that night and so we didn't get any pictures of her.

Thanks everyone for coming we had lots of fun!

T.J. vs The Shredder!

I've been put in charge of taking care of the paper work in our office at home by T.J. and so the other day I was shredding some bills and I accidentally put one in that was to thick. The shredder was jammed and I couldn't get it to work. I keep on bugging T.J. to fix it so I could continue on with my new responsibility. Well he finally got around to it on his day off and man did that shredder put up a fight. He had to take it all apart and pull the paper out then screw it back up. Well it didn't work and so he took it apart again and this is what happen. The shredder ATE his shirt! Out of all days to put a nice shirt on. It was a tough match and I'm pretty sure the shredder almost won but luckily T.J. got out before whole shirt was eaten. T.J. just wanted to let everyone know that his garments saved his life. THE CHURCH IS TRUE!

Picture Tagged!

Tagged by Brittany!

This is what you do...you go to your pictures area on your computer and pick the 4th folder and 4th picture and then explain it.
So this picture is of me when I was a little over a year, this is my famous Hanna face or as T.J. would call it Hannattude. Olivia for sure didn't get any of her hair from me (baldy). So while we've got a picture of me as a little one , do Olivia and I look a like or is she still all T.J.?

QUIRKS TAG...
Tagged by Holly Amos and Brittany Ehlers
Rules: Link the person who tagged you. Mention rules on your blog. Tell about 6 quirks of yours.Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same, leave a comment to let them know. This is my first tag so bare with me.

1. I heat up my ice cream in the microwave before I can eat it. I have been doing it since I was little, I don't know what caused me to start besides the fact that I hate hard ice cream. I like to eat it a little melted kind of like a shake.

2. Certain materials bug me to death to touch! For some reason I can't touch Sandpaper, nail files and the material on older mattresses. With all the home improvement I do, I have had to some what get over sandpaper.

3. I'm addicted to watching home improvement shows. I would watch HGTV all day if I could, I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode of Designed to Sell and De vine Design with Candace Olsen. Some of the others that I like are 24 Hour Design, Myles of Style, Curb Appeal and I could go on and on. They give such great ideas! I wish that Candace Olsen could come to my house and redo a room, that would be so awesome!

4. I love fresh garden tomatos, a little of salt and pepper and I'm good to go. On the other hand I hate cooked tomatos, For some reason I can't get myself to eat them, especially in spaghetti sauce. The big chunks that are in it are so gross! Also if there is to much red sauce on pizza I'll scrape it off.

5. So this one is a little ironic, I hate animal hair and of course we have a dog that sheds like there is no tomorrow. I guess I didn't realize how much it bugged me until we got Lucy and saw how much she sheds. I can't stand it on the floor, rug, clothes, couches, it even bugs me when I see it in the garage. The most annoying thing about animal hair is that it sticks to everything and it never goes away. I love Lucy so much and she is a good dog but she is not allowed in the house because of her hair. If only she didn't shed so bad.

6. I will give away or throw away anything. A lot of people will hold onto everything or debate about getting rid of it, I don't have that problem. Some of my family will have me do it for them because they can't. I don't like having stuff that isn't used or that has been in a box for years. Clutter bugs me so much! I do like to hold onto sentimental things but if you didn't know you had it why do you need it.

GROWING BEFORE MY EYES

Olivia had her two month check-up this past Wednesday and it went really well. So the last few weeks everyone seems to ask how much does she weigh? Well the verdict is in, She weighs 9 lbs. 15 oz. and is 22 in. long. That puts her in the 25 % for her age. The doctor said that all looks good and that she is considered on the petite side.

So I will have to say that I thought I would be totally fine when she got her shots done but it is a different story when it actually happened. The sudden pain in her face and the high pitched scream was almost more than I could bare. The tears started welling up in my eyes and I could barely stand it. But my little girl was so brave! She cried from the sudden pain but shortly after they were done she just whimpered. She probably whimpered for about a half an hour and that was it. She wasn't whinny at all and actually she slept more the next two days than she ever has. I didn't know what to do with myself and I actually had to wake her up because it had been almost five hours since she had eaten. I'm thinking she needs her shots more often.

I know that people always say that your baby will grow before your eyes but I didn't fully understand how true that statement was until I had Olivia. She has gotten so much bigger and has changed in so many ways since she came home with us. She smiles so much and of course no one believes me because she wont do it around anyone but T.J. and I. She has started to make way more sounds and I could listen to it all day. She is growing out of her newborn clothes and starting to fit into 0/3 months which I thought would never happen. Time truly does fly by and before I know it she'll be a dramatic teenager.

So I forgot to take my camera to the doctors so I didn't get any pictures of her until later that day. I wanted to get some of her with her little band aids.
These pictures were taken this past week when she turned two months old. As you can tell I Love her hands and feet! She has such skinny long feet and skinny longs fingers. I don't think there are many more things that melt a mother's heart like her childs smile. I can't believe how much her smile makes me happy.

She almost always has her hands by her face and her pinky somehow points up like the mini me guy from Austin Powers. It is pretty funny!
